It’s Mother’s day again today. Got all my stuff sorted mid-week, and luckily the children have sorted things for Sian. My treat was McDonalds in bed which I picked up after my swim this morning – was there as they opened at 7:00, only 60 lengths today, as I am not too well again. I have been taking vitamins for 6 weeks now, and I have been ill for four. I am very rarely ill, so I blame them.
Good week this wee, been out running three times and swimming, got up to 70 lengths now which is 1260 meters so another 13 lengths and I’ll be cracking the 1500m target. Not particularly speedy, but on target for 40 mins or so – but this is in the pool – the sea will be a different ball game all together…
Also went for a long cycle on Saturday, 33 miles to Usk and back – very hilly route which I hope is something like the tri route – 28 miles took me around 2hrs, by the time I got back I was wacked. It was chilly out, and up in the hills the fog/mist was so bad you could barely see 30 yards ahead. There is a bit, once you have climbed to the top which takes you back down over around 3 miles – sounds great – but when its freezing I could barely peddle when I got to the bottom. So after that cycle I would have needed to run six miles – a scary thought….
Going to extend the runs this week to a four mile route if I can find one, with some hills in it – its getting ever closer.
Run – 3 x 3miles (27 mins)
Cycle – one 33 mile – 2hrs 20
Swim – 3 x 60, 70, 60 lengths (around 30 – 35 mins)
Beers – 6 Stella, one strawberry blond (which was lovely)
Oh yeah – Tom got smashed on Rose, and managed to get to work the next day! ;o)
